Nothing is lost by checking it out!

PLEASE NOTE: THESE ARE MY THOUGHTS BASED ON THE EXPERIENCE

I HAVE FROM FEEDBACK FROM PEOPLE WITH IRLEN SYNDROME

Life is hard, as we all know, with many challenges and trials. Many of which, have no preparation or warning time.

What could make you depressed?

Of course depression is a medical condition with psychological, physical and social symptoms.

I pose a question

We know that many conditions co-exist. Many share the same symptoms. Not all conditions show up on tests such as scans and blood tests. Not all conditions are diagnosed or explained

Equally I believe that some illnesses and conditions are misdiagnosed based on symptoms

For example CFS or ME (Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), also referred to as myalgic encephalomyelitis.

Irlen syndrome

Irlen syndrome is hereditary

Irlen can occur throughout life being brought on following a brain injury (this could be whiplash or concussion)Irlen can be brought on following an illness or virus

Many of the symptoms of Irlen syndrome would drag a person down. Many symptoms I feel could be missed diagnosed . I was once told when going through a very difficult time with my mum suffering with dementia and me trying to do all I could for her that I should go to the doctors and get some medication for the state I was in. I answered I was fed up (well a little different word) not depressed.

LIves are truly changed when correct diagnosis is made with Irlen. As I said to start nothing to lose by doing a little research.

(ME), is a medical condition characterized by long-term fatigue and other symptoms that limit a person's ability to carry out ordinary daily activities. ... Diagnosis is based on a person's symptoms.
